This is very interesting – but I maintain the #1 brand launched in 2008 was Barack Obama. No other political candidate has been so successfully packaged and sold to the American public.
And I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
I find it refreshing that the fundamentals of good brand-building were finally used effectively against the typical, hack political consultants who endorse “slash and burn” marketing every election cycle.
Thanks for the report. I’ll be interested to see what else comes from Mintel in the future.
